The best that the Russian market of electronic payment systems can offer today is Webmoney. This payment system stood at the origins of the emergence of the electronic turnover of finance in Runet. One third of the population of the Russian Federation, like most of the Internet users of the CIS countries, are Webmoney clients. Almost all shops, supermarkets and online resources providing paid services cooperate with Webmoney, regardless of its limits. In terms of the number of users and the quality of services provided, Webmoney is the undisputed leader among Russian electronic payment systems.

What the Webmoney service can offer

Webmoney, like Western electronic payment services, works with the most famous currencies, which are indicated in the system with special letter symbols: rubles (WMR), gold (WMG), euros (WME), Belarusian rubles (WMB), dollars (WMZ), Ukrainian hryvnia (WMU), Kazakh tenge (WMK) and even Bitcoins (WMX). Such an innovation as a cryptocurrency appeared on the electronic payment service quite recently, as at one time the limits of Webmoney passports were introduced.

Webmoney clients, depending on the obtained passport, receive a set of unique opportunities. The list of services provided by the electronic payment service is quite large. It:

  • Conducting transactions between e-wallets and bank cards or accounts.
  • Currency conversion services.
  • Payment of all kinds of bills for housing and communal services, the Internet, mobile payments and much more, the list is large.
  • Payment for goods or services on external resources (online stores, online games, etc.).
  • Making transfers to other payment systems, including Western ones.

Based on the presented list of services, it becomes clear why payment systems so quickly entered our life and became extremely popular. It is convenient, safe and profitable if you take into account the small commission for financial transactions. The only thing that users who wish not to advertise their personal data may not like is the Webmoney transfer limits, but more on that later.

Restrictions on financial transactions on the Webmoney service

It would seem that there should not be any restrictions on financial transactions, because the money belongs to the user, and only he can decide how much and where to withdraw or transfer it. But its not that simple. The fact is that the state wants to know where and by whom money is transferred, especially when it comes to large amounts. On their part, this interest is explained by the control over the turnover of finance. This information is of interest to the tax service in the case when taxes are not paid. Or the secret services - for example, if the money goes to support terrorism. Whatever it is, there are limits on financial transactions in the Webmoney system, but only for those who work on the service confidentially.

Obtaining a passport as a way to remove restrictions:

  1. A private passport is issued to all users upon registration. A minimum of information will be required from the future client. This version of working with the system is perfect for those who do not need to carry out large-scale financial transactions. For example, a user needs a ruble wallet for the convenience of paying utility bills. A pseudonym passport is ideal for such purposes. If the phone number is not connected, then the user can have no more than 5 thousand rubles in the WMR wallet. And if authorization by number is passed, you can withdraw 5 thousand rubles daily, 15 thousand rubles per week, and no more than 30 thousand rubles per month.
  2. Formal passport. According to official data, this particular certificate is used by the majority of users of the system. In this case, the Webmoney passport limits for conducting monetary transactions are lower. To get the second most important certificate in the system, it is enough to send scans of the passport and TIN code. After checking the documents, the user is assigned a formal passport, which allows him to operate with amounts higher than with the “document” of the pseudonym. The daily transfer amount is 15 thousand rubles. The weekly limit of Webmoney transfer is 30 thousand rubles, and the monthly limit is 90 thousand rubles.
  3. Small businessmen and entrepreneurs need an initial certificate. Clients with an initial passport can use a ruble wallet with the following restrictions: no more than 300 thousand rubles per day, 900 thousand rubles per week, and the monthly limit is 1 million 800 thousand rubles. An initial certificate is quite enough for businessmen, whose monthly income or financial turnover does not exceed the amount of 1,800,000 rubles. You can get it at a personal meeting with a personalizer (a person who confirms the identity of the client) or through Internet banking.
  4. A personal passport is the most prestigious, since there are practically no limits for a client in the Webmoney system. On the day a client with an initial certificate, may perform financial transactions in the amount of 3 000 000 and a monthly limit of 9 000 000. This certificate can be obtained only after checking the documents by the registrar of the Webmoney system.
  5. There is another certificate called "professional", which is issued only to employees of the system itself, working as registrars or arbitrators.

Limits for Webmoney passports were introduced in order to increase the security of financial transactions. So, for clients with a personal certificate, attention is more from the administration and technical support of the resource, since the amount of operations is greater and the responsibility for security is higher. Likewise, a user with a pseudonym passport gets standard support and uses minimal system capabilities.

There is another category of passports that have no limits. Over the entire existence of the system, several dozen of them have been issued, and companies that enjoy unique conditions at one time signed contracts with the heads of the payment service. For them, there are no limits on transfers in the Webmoney system.
