Microsoft Corporation Began Collecting Blockchains in the Cloud

For the first time Microsoft Corporation demonstrated its surface interest to Bitcoin at the end of 2014; however, without any serious intends. Nevertheless, the giant stayed inactive not long – in 2016 it got up steam and made its first steps in the direction of blitz penetration into the market of solutions implementing blockchain technology.
For last several months Microsoft Corporation has been working hard making partnership with several projects of various types, including altcoins with modern blockchains and service providers offering to develop blockchain solutions. In October last year Microsoft Corporation presented an innovative solution BaaS. It represents a protected environment that allows testing the innovative blockchain technology, from smart-contracts up to useful communication services, for example, payment services. BaaS Solution was built on Azure platform, which showed itself to good advantage.
Marley Gray (the Director of technological strategy sector) of Microsoft affirms that the number of new organizations operating in the sector of blockchain technology implementation will increase yearly, more and more companies will use Azure platform. This resource has been designed for creating and improving new solutions and their competent testing. No one new product can avoid that. Considering that BaaS technology is still at the first stage of its development, Microsoft will not limit access to it in order to give rise to new solutions.
 
No to competition!
It is no wonder that after launching blockchain technology large corporations and banks became interested in beneficial implementation of blockchain solutions. Microsoft sets the stage that allows partners providing their clients with easy access to new services. Marley Gray stated in his blog that Microsoft’s new blockchain strategy provides an opportunity to create and test new solutions easily, quickly and rather cheap.
 
Neutral stance
According to Marley Gray, Microsoft Corporation intends to provide companies with a neutral medium for development of new blockchain solutions. The best solution for bank consortiums is to use Azure platform for transferring trust relationships to limited blockchain networks. To confirm his rectitude, Gray advises to pay attention to services Microsoft could make available for bank use. He cited cryptographic keys’ storage as an example.
Accelerated innovations
Relevant for 2016 version of AzureBaaS platform is absolutely open to let clients develop blockchains both within the platform frames and outer local data centers. It is announced that it is very easy to develop a blockchain in the cloud – you need only to fill in the registration form and click! Then you have an opportunity to control established blockchain in the cloud environment of the platform.
Also worth noting that at the moment not Microsoft itself is involved in developing blockchains but outside developers. According to Gray, this scheme allows experienced and reliable companies to cooperate with startups. Thus, Azure becomes an instrument for faster implementation of innovations in the blockchain sector.
