A brisk growth of information technologies promotes development of the surrounding environment. At this time traditional methods of payments for goods and services are replaced with electronic money and e-wallets. Advantages of e-wallets are quite clear.
  First of all, to create such a wallet you need only to register on a website – the process takes no more than 5 minutes. You may top-up your e-wallet via terminals or from your credit card. Secondly, e-wallets provide a totally new security level as it is impossible just to steal it from a pocket. For authorization on the website not only a simple system of entering login and password is used but every account is linked to a phone number. That is why if a fraud will learn your login and password he won’t be able to authorize as he won’t receive a confirmation from your phone. Thirdly, e-wallets allow performing the same operations like with real money. For example, you may pay for mobile services, Internet, utilities and even order products from other countries. The difference is that no need to leave the comfort of your home.
  At present there are three the most popular systems of e-wallets in Russia:
1. Webmoney.  This system was established in 1998, at that time it has no any analogues. Its symbol is an ant. Currently Webmoney supports numerous currencies; that is why it is popular in many countries across the world. Moreover, Webmany offers special applications for various OS, what significantly simplifies the use of e-wallet.
2. Яндекс деньги. Second in popularity is Yandex Money service that was launched in web-version in 2005. Unfortunately, at this moment the system supports only Russian rubles; that is why it is considered as focused on a narrow sector; nevertheless, funds from your e-wallet can be transferred into a bank account in any country across the world.
3. Qiwi wallet. This e-wallet appeared in 2008 and since that time it has been gaining popularity. This payment system has the same functionality as its competitors. E-wallet allows paying all possible services on the Internet. You may order a plastic card in your personal Cabinet, in this case your e-wallet allows paying at any shops. Moreover, this card like any other bank card, allows withdrawing cash via ATMs.
